Detroit's 10th Int'l Film & Video Festival is dedicated to show all new film , video, and digital works that are received through this call.

The Festival will be held March 9 through March 24, 2007 at the Museum of New Art (MONA).

All submitted videos will join the museum¹s permanent collection.

52) Damiano Fasso (Italy) - THE DREAM BOOK, 2006 -- while echoing in the title the famous film by Peter Greenaway "The pillow book", this video contins an explicit reference to the masterpiece of japanese literature, written by Sei Shonagon in the XI century. The carrousel of pictures, all taken from the web, grows in rythm and velocity, giving a sense of ambiguity and uncertainty, and approaching beautiful pictures with sad ones. It's a reflecion on beauty, sadness, velocity and consummism in the present era".
